Our program has expanded this year to include grades 6 and 7, and there are a few remaining seats in those grades. We will add 8th grade in the 2024-25 academic year. Most elementary classes reached capacity after the spring lottery, but don't hesitate to apply if you are interested. We always keep a waitlist for interested families. The lottery will be held in March of 2024. The application period starts in January of 2024. For the 2023-2024 academic year, most elementary classes are full, but a few seats remain. We have expanded our program this year to include grades 6 and 7. At present, we have capacity for students in these grades. If the class you are interested in is full, we are happy to put you on a waitlist. If a seat becomes available, waitlist students are placed in the order their applications are received.
No. We are a tuition-free charter school. Because we believe in removing barriers to quality education, we provide instruction and education at no cost to students. The application is free of charge.

Enrollment in charter schools is available to all students, including students with disabilities, and information about disabilities will not be requested until a student has been admitted and enrolled in a charter school. For questions regarding the admission and enrollment of students with disabilities in charter schools, you may contact Vanessa Giddings, Executive Director of Student Support Services for Durango School District 9-R, or Philip Werline, Head of School.

Currently enrolled students will have a seat for the next school year. Priority seating will be given to the following groups, with each group not exceeding 20% of the seats available for that grade level. These groups will not be placed in the lottery. Each applicant in priority seating will be given a seat in the school, in their relative grade level, and then the lottery applicants will be filled in after the priority applicants.

We look forward to receiving your completed form and to serving you in the best possible way.
